Joe Biden has just been elected President of the United States, replacing Donald Trump, after a bitter and strong political battle that has held the whole world in suspense.
Born in November 1942, the new president will be 78 in a few days and will be the 46th US president. His appointment is scheduled for January 20, 2021.
His vice-president will be Kamala Harris, 56, the first woman to hold the post in the country’s history.
