The eruption of Mount Agung in Bali, Indonesia forced the emergency evacuation of hundreds of thousands of people. An evacuation complicated by the fact that the local airport had to be closed because of dangerous emanations of the volcano.

Bali is an important tourist center for the country, and tourists are among the first evacuees, estimated at around 100,000 people. A disaster for the whole region on the economic plan, adding to the distress of the populations, also forced to leave the zone for questions of security.
