South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands (Islas Georgias del Sur y Sandwich del Sur in Spanish), is a British overseas territory located in the south of Atlantic Ocean. It is made up of the South Georgia Island and nearby islets as well as the South Sandwich Islands Archipelago. Administered from the Falkland Islands to the north-west, the territory is claimed by Argentina, as are the Falklands.
